Job Description

Job title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Type: Permanent
Start date: ASAP - Subject to clearance
Duration: Permanent
Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: £40,000-£55,000
Location: Bridgwater
Hours of work: 36.5 hours per week
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Able to work with other designers to deliver cost effective and appropriate design solutions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes
- Competency with AutoCAD Duct and Pipe systems design software
- Knowledge of design codes under CDM regulations
- Minimum HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering
Ideally applicants should also have:
- Competency with AutoCAD 2020 draughting software

Role information:

- Create and implement temporary mechanical building services design solutions
- Ensure the integration, assurance, compliance and health and safety sustainability of produced designs
- Provide technical design solutions
- Create drawings, calculations and specifications
- Review and check documentation and designs for compliance
- Prepare design risk assessments
